Gardens
We are drastically expanding the gardens for the 2024 season from 15 to 40 raised beds along with multiple long trellised rows and large open areas for directly planting in the ground.
Berry Lake
Berry Lake is a stream-fed protected wetland that provides fresh water to various wildlife and is home to a wide variety of fish and waterfowl.
It’s a great place to unwind and enjoy God’s handiwork year round!
Workshop
2022 taught us we needed a larger, COVERED space to work especially in the winter months when the only daylight hours are when you’re at work and can’t work on your projects. With that, we started building this 16'x16' workshop with two 10'x16' lean to’s on each side for additional workspace and storage.
Chickens
Our chickens provide us a steady flow of meat and eggs along with helping us build our soil like the rabbits and if the power goes out the rooster always lets you know it’s time to get up!

This beautiful girl is our first Livestock Guardian Dog (LGD). She’s had months of training with various animals. Right now she’s bonding with her new family getting ready to protect those who call Berry Blessed Acres home!

We use American Guinea Hogs to dig up those pesky roots and expose the natural seed bank hidden within. We have 10 main paddocks for them which they rotate through every 12 days creating better soil and less brambles wherever they are. Their manure is also great for compost.
Tortoises
These dinosaurs were supposed to be the size of a credit card... as you can see they have grown a tad larger than that! They are however fun to interact with and their manure is also great for compost.
Rabbits
We get asked a lot if our rabbits are food!?
No! While we understand many people love to eat rabbit, like our pigs, the rabbits have a specific job to do... Poop! Rabbit manure is AMAZING stuff! We run the rabbits in tractors to keep them safe from predators and let them just eat and poo everywhere we can!
About US
In 2021 with a little one on the way, we decided to ditch suburbia and move to the country to grow an overabundance of food and create a place to disconnect from the world and connect with God for us and future generations.
After a LOT of prayer and MANY setbacks, in 2022 we were finally able to move in to our forever home. This picture was taken right after we got the keys.
Our first year has been about clearing the land and getting a better vision of the future. As you can see on the map, we have a LOT of room to grow!

Monkeys
Being blessed enough to have these little monkeys in our life is more than words can describe. Watching them help and give ideas is priceless and makes all of the hard work and sacrifices worth it!
Why Berry Blessed?
When we initially looked at this property we knew it had a lot of potential in the amount of space it offered though things weren’t growing yet so what we couldn’t see was that the land is loaded with berry plants!
